Tula Therapy
Welcome to Our New Chapter
We’re excited to introduce a new collaboration between two passionate Registered Massage Therapists
• Candace Morrison (Central Whitby)
•Ally Richards (North Whitby)
- coming together under one unified vision of holistic care.
This rebrand reflects our shared values and commitment to providing grounded, body-centered therapy across two locations in Whitby:
• Central Whitby (Candace)
• North Whitby (Ally)
While our name and look may be evolving, nothing changes for Candace’s existing clients — your appointments, location, and trusted care remain the same.
We look forward to continuing to support your health with intention, integrity, and a deeper sense of connection.
Services

Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage uses general Swedish massage techniques as well as
Deep tissue techniques. Passive stretching is also with the focus on increasing range of motion, and reducing pain perception.
Yoga
A blend of vinyasa, hatha and yin that has an approach of a beginner. Whether you are new or want to slow your practice down- this may be a good fit for you. Geared toward stiff and thicker bodies, we will take the time to learn and connect with a beginner’s mind.
Shamanic Healing
Havening
Integrate Shamanic healing as part of a holistic system. Candace offers a type of healing that will happen
within an alternate state of consciousness to enter the invisible world, which is made up of all unseen aspects of the world that affect us. Depending on the need of the client, 90 minutes is available to the
client, in which Candace will use shamanic tools to assist and support.
Therapy developed by Ronald Ruden and his brother Steve Ruden; it relies on "amygdala depotentiation" that purportedly can help people with psychological problems, particularly those related to phobias, post-traumatic stress and anxiety.

Why Tula?
Tula is a Sanskrit word that means balance; a principle at the heart of our work. In many Indigenous worldviews, balance is also central to healing: a return to harmony within the body, mind, spirit, community, and the land.
At Tula Therapy, we honour both these lineages.
Our approach is rooted in therapeutic care and cultural humility, drawing from modern and traditional healing systems that view wellness as interconnected, not isolated.
We hold space for you to come back into relationship with yourself.
To feel rooted. Supported. Whole.
Our Philosophy

Why we do what we do
Candace & Ally share in this, which is why they wanted to collaborate.
At Tula Therapy, balance isn’t just a goal—it’s a way of being.
The name Tula, meaning balance in Sanskrit, reflects our belief that healing is not linear. It’s a cyclical process of returning to self, recalibrating, and restoring connection. In many Indigenous traditions, this kind of balance is represented by the Medicine Wheel, which teaches that true wellness comes from harmony between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual parts of our being—as well as our relationships with others and the land.
As a practice grounded in both clinical training and traditional wisdom, Tula Therapy blends hands-on care with a relational approach. We work with you, not on you.
Tula Therapy is a collaboration between two independent practitioners.
We are:
-
Two distinct paths
-
Two separate locations
-
Two unique practices
And yet, we are united by a shared vision:
To create a space where healing is grounded, relational, and inclusive.
We believe in whole-person care that honours your story, your body, and your rhythm.
Whether through massage, acupuncture, or nervous system support, our work is rooted in:
-
A trauma-aware approach
-
Deep listening and presence
-
A commitment to community care
Though we practice separately, we’ve come together to build something bigger; a shared community that reflects our values, supports our clients, and contributes to collective wellbeing.
Welcome to Tula.
We're so glad you're here.

My Mission
I am passionate about moving with intention and slowing down to connect mind, body and breath.
I am also passionate about bringing reciprocity to the First Nations. We all live in Canada, and the spectrum includes those of us who have been here for multiple generations, all the way to brand new citizens alike. We come together to enjoy the privilege of living on Turtle Island (North America), with the exception of Reservations that still have water restrictions, and water advisories. I believe that here on Turtle Island, all of us have a right to clean drinking water. This is why I am blowing the dust off my mat and sharing yoga with you once more. This is a way for me to donate our time and money to Water First. 50% of everything that these yoga classes produce will be donated on your behalf.
Water First helps address water challenges in Indigenous communities in Canada through education, training and meaningful collaboration. It is just one part of a solution to the water crisis facing many Indigenous communities. In Canada, 15% of First Nation communities are under a drinking water advisory. 35% In Ontario.
Today, this area is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work with the community in this territory.
